What do you think about Stella and Dot jewelry?

| Cheaply made stuff at premium prices. You can find same kind of jewelry for MUCH less on Ebay, at Loehmanns or Filene's Basement. |

| I've only seen the web site because of a few of my FB mom friends from high school sell it and I want to support them - but it looks tacky to me - not my taste. Of course I'm not the end-all-be-all of style and I'm totally not into jewelry, but that was my take. |

| Always worth going to the party. Girls night out. No cost. You don't have to buy anything. I've been to a couple of S&D parties and there is really no pressure at all. I did buy something at the first party and it was a little pricey, but I wear it all the time and I do like it. That being said, I don't like most of the jewelry, but that's just my personal taste. |

| I agree that it is poor quality, plus it is so recognizable as Stella and Dot. I think of it in the same way as Tory Burch or Kate Spade in that it is a brand you want people to know you own. |

I've read up on both Silpada and Stella & Dot and they both use .925 sterling silver and both utilize independent global artisians to hand-craft their pieces. Silpada uses them for the full line and Stella & Dot uses them for only part of the line but the other portion of the line is made in the same facility which produces jewelry for Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. So I think any issue with quality a person has is actually a matter of style preference. I've been to a few shows & there were several pieces I picked up & really looked at which were very nice, heavy, etc and many of the ladies there had previously purchased and really enjoyed the line.
Ultimately, to each his/her own, but I think its not exactly accurate to say that its cheap. |

Expensive and very poor quality. I went to a party (which is a fun) and I bought a two necklaces (68 bucks each) and earrings ( 49 bucks) I returned the necklaces since the stones on one were glued on unevenly and the other necklace was just cheap looking. The earrings turned green after two months.
