Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers
| Any suggestion on a place to hold a birthday party for an upcoming 3yr old boy? We're looking for something that is fun for very young toddlers. We've looked into Chuck E Cheeses and My Gym but I'm wondering if there are other places in the DC area that we don't know about. We have a moderate budget. Any ideas? |

Gymboree?
Chuck E Cheese's is probably more suitable for older kids (4-5+) since most of the appeal comes from the video games. |
| a friend of mine had her childs 3 yr party at Krispy cream. The kids loved it. Got to watch donuts being made, had a few yummy fresh from the oven donuts and a krispy cream hat. Very inexpensive. |
| MusiKids in Bethesda has good parties for this age range. |
| You don't want to do it at home? How large of a party are you planning? |
| how about a local park? They usually only charge $25 or $50 for non-residents so you could even do it in DC or the surrounding counties. There are some really good toddler parks next to shelters and you can usually just bring your own food. |
| consider a local Recreation Center...they are all listed...and have rooms to rent. Or a local park - usually there are picnic tables and covered areas. If in VA, Burke, Accotink are great... |

Go on the Train Ride at Cabin John and rent the party room right next door (or just grab a picnic table).
Wheaton Park also has a train ride as well as a Merry-go-ride |
| There are a ton of places like that. We had a party at Monkey Business in Falls Church and it was a lot of fun. The owner of the place is also really sweet and great with 3 yr olds. |
