This is something that has been happening for decades. |
As can middle class kids. And most of these kids are smart enough to not get pregnant in the first place. |
Lol, no. Only uneducated fools go south. This board seems to have been infiltrated by Russian trolls/MAGA supporters recently. |
This not true for middle class southern kids. They take a lot of pride in their appearance and are an overall better looking group than their northern peers. |
Birth control fails. There is also this thing called rape. |
As a non-white person, I say no thank you! |
+1 |
You’re missing the point. It’s not sour grapes any longer. There are a lot of very bright kids who want nothing to do with the “elite” schools any longer. It’s not about academics, but cultural fit. |
I think “gorgeous” is code for blond and blue-eyed. Not all of us consider that automatically “beautiful”. |
It was happening at the Claremont colleges- Pomona. President took action though |
Yes, and worldwide people speak of the “beautiful people” in southern universities. They are avoiding Ivy schools like Columbia and Harvard for the chance to be surrounded by beauty. |
The south will get taken seriously as soon as the slack jawed yokels end their confederate nostalgia and stop cheering for a losing treasonous side that have been a disgrace and a stain on this country for 150 years.
Oh and when they can justify going to a school based on more criteria than the students are attractive and the weather is warm. These posters sound vapid and shallow and perfect for a sports administration major at an SEC school. |
Maybe you are unaware that most kids are not on school from May-mid August, which are the really hot and humid months. While up in Canada you are on school all winter where it is freezing for 5 months. And when the weather finally gets nice you are off. |
This. We live in the South, but I don’t want DD to go to a school here because she has no reproductive rights here and it will get worse. |
So tired of the political spammer promoting an agenda. The south is not the destination "of choice." Kids choose colleges all over. Growing apps mean applying to more college, so most growth will be at colleges that didn't receive as many apps previously. Please stop the spin. |
