Rachel Carson Lawsuit?

There is no "coverup"

You are an idiot.

Courts need facts ie evidence.

People don't lie as much underoath.

Interesting article in the WaPo - https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2024/03/30/fairfax-schools-sex-assault-lawsuit/

It mentions - B.R.’s case has been legally complex with hundreds of docket entries since she initially filed the lawsuit in 2019. She has been represented by multiple sets of lawyers.

I saw in the comments section -
1 attorney from Sheppard O'Brien (July 2019 - Dec. 2021)
1 attorney from Messa Associates (Dec. 2019 - Nov. 2021)
4 attorneys from Brett Binaizan (Nov. 2021 - July 2022)
4 attorneys from Dhillon Law (July 2022 - Sept. 2023)
3 attorneys from Joel Bieber (April 2023 - Sept. 2023)
1 attorney from Holtzman Vogel (Sept. 2023 - present)
7 attorneys from Boies Schiller (Sept. 2023 - present)
1 other attorney, now deceased
= 22 attorneys from 8 law firms representing the plaintiff; with complete replacement of counsel in November 2021, July 2022, and Sept. 2023

Those who have legal background (I do not...), what might this suggest?

Easiest one is this.

4 attorneys from Dhillon Law (July 2022 - Sept. 2023) LOL they are creepers worthless clowncars. Joel Beiber is a traffic attorney, Holtzman Vogel has a rating of one.

Basically clowns.

Any updates on the trial?

Seeing FCPS used in their defense “Kate’s” 2nd grade report card, pediatrician notes and her diary, would guess in future FCPS would also use a kid’s answers to SEL screener and all the other surveys - nothing in those would be confidential if go to court. So FCPS would look to use anything where a kid didn’t say “strongly disagree” to questions like “I have a trustee adult can go to at a school” or “I feel comfortable at school”

The jury sided with FCPS. No money for the woman.

This article covers the verdict. The jury needed only a few hours to reach a unanimous decision in favor of FCPS. The former student was not a victim of sexual assault.

She still could have been a victim of sexual assault. The legal issue was whether FCPS bore any responsibility with respect thereto.

I suppose it is possible, but the police dismissed investigated and dismissed any criminal charges against the boy after it happened 10 years ago. So it appears to be more likely be a consensual sexual relationship (between a 12 year old girl and a 13 year old boy... ugh). She only started bringing the claims and charges up after the boy broke up with her.

I don't know the kids, only that the focus of the lawsuit was on whether FCPS and FCPS personnel didn't meet their legal and statutory obligations, not whether an assault actually took place.

The trial was not about whether or not she was the victim of sexual assault. why would you focus on that?

DP, because a dozen pages of this post have been focused on that topic.
