Does Prevacid dosage have to be adjusted? Need help from reflux moms.

We use the compound made by DaaRoo pharmacy in Chevy Chase. My guy had severe reflux and eating aversions. He's been on Prevacid as high as 4 mls twice a day and is now down to 3 twice a day at nine months old (18 mgs a day total)

I've found their compound to be stable for a month at a time. We tried the solutabs but went back to the compound because it was a lot easier to administer.

20:56 here again. Our regular ped prescribed the tabs. Our insurance covered the tabs and the liquid, so I don't know if one is more expensive. We do have to split them and they aren't scored, so occasionally we lose 1/2 a pill when it disintegrates. We use a large (5ml) syringe with a relatively large opening to suck up the dissolved drug. It was given to us by our pharmacist. We have no problem with administration -- the syringe is easy to clean out each night. BTW, our ped told us to put the tablet into a bottle, but that was a disaster. It clogged up the nipple and stuck to the sides of the bottle. Definitely use a syringe! GL!
