Lash Boost side effects?

I think a lot of the lash products do like pubes they are so long and coarse looking, but after staring at so many photos I bought it, figured I'd try it and stop when it got crazy... and am scared to use it and will just have to resell it.

After I bought it I googled (which is unlike me- I'd normally do that first) and saw that it can cause styes especially in those with dry eyes.

I just had lasic surgery and was diagnosed with dry eyes prior to having the procedure. The dr told me my genetic type (British/Nordic, pale eyes, skin, blonde) is predisposed to styes and dry eyes. I haven't had either (never noticed dry eyes but can see blood vessels/bloodshot at times) and I don't want styes.

My mother had them for a few years and I can remember everyone thinking she was so stylish always in huge shades- but she was embarrassed to go out without them due to the ongoing issue (didn't know it was genetic at the time- she wondered what caused it, had to have one surgically removed).

Knowing this, I can not use this stuff. It's not just 'dirty lashes' as a pp stated. If you are prone to styes or dry eyes (which you may not even know) or have a family history, read up on it and think twice.

I think of it like 'do you easily get ingrown hairs? Red dots when you shave? Would you break out if you rubbed oil on your pores? If so, using this oily follicle-blocking product is not for you.

My lashes aren't bad- I was just being vain, wondering if they could be better, naturally. I'm not into false lashes/extensions/tube mascara so I'm just sticking to regular mascara and looking normal.

I just wanted to pass this along- wish I'd read it here before I bought it.

I use latissse because it is FDA approved. It’s a big deal.

Side effects are being a freaking idiot and buying into an MLM scam.

I tried Lash Boost and after a couple of weeks started having constant eyelid twitching. My upper eye lids also were red and swollen and then the white of my eye was red. I stopped and after a couple days all of that went away.

Decided to try it again. I spent so much money on it, and it was in my bathroom cabinet. Within just two days this time, I again experiences all of the above plus darkness under my eyes. Enough that it looked almost like bruising. Stopped and within a day my eyes were back to normal.

I told the R&F rep I got it from and her reaction was "oh that's too bad."

OP - try Black Jamaican castor oil - there are a few brands at Sally's. I rub a tiny dab between my fingers and spread it over my brows and lashes every night. No shedding and thicker lashes for little money and little time.

My lashes don't look like long insect legs but they are noticeably longer and thicker than when I wasn't taking this short, affordable step in my nightly ritual.

Eye reactions seem to be very individual. I wouldn't buy from a MLM company when there are so many other products offering similar results.

For what it's worth, I use Revitalash and my lashes went from already nice-ish (admittedly, don't want to give too false expectations) to unreal. They brush my eyebrows and people complement me on them all the time. No adverse side effects whatsoever. I have light blue eyes and fair skin so was worried about eye color changing and lid darkening with Latisse or any others with similar effects. Have used this for 3 years and it's been fine. I apply like liquid liner once daily (and forget a bunch at this point) and the "3 month" tube lasts about 6 months, so $200 a year seems reasonable for great lashes. You can buy a 2 pack for even less during Nordstrom's sales. Thought it did nothing the first 3-4 months then, bam! Huge lashes. Not a shill, just happy with this so wanted to put it out there as another option.
