Great place!!! My child loves his teachers, learn a little every day. Is such a joy to see my little one being well care for! I think it is brilliant idea to merge Montessori and Reegio method of teaching. Couldn't be happier with Vinci School |
My daughter started since the beginning. I have to say I'm more than pleased. She learned a lot and increased a lot her confidence. There is always something new. STEM is in the weekly themes which her teacher posts questions for us to continue talking about it at home. When my daughter saw the cooking steam and said "evaporation", believe me, my husband's jaw dropped to the ground! I looked at the previous thread and can agree that sometimes it feels disorganized. The director is a nice lady and is doing her best, obviously overwhelmed by so many families who want to enroll. I feel that the school is safe, with camera surveillance and controlled access for parents. Teachers are very high quality and they are all degreed. In our previous centers we only get teachers who barely speak English. Their portal system tracking my daughter's progress is brilliant, perhaps a lot of work for some parents but we love it. Teachers did have some turnover but mostly assistant teachers which is typical in daycares. We were upset with one lead teacher who left recently. But we got an expert trainer to fill in - so can't complain. It's obviously not for everybody. You have to find the fit for your kids. For our daughter, it's the definitely the best school she's ever been to. |
This was posted publicly on Facebook? OMG. |
How many schools has your preschooler really attended though? |
This school is losing families quickly because of poor management and the way one teacher in particular treats children in her class. They had told a number of families they were letting her go months ago but it never came to fruition. |
I am sitting in the graduation ceremony for vinci school right now. The owner is lecturing parents not to complain to each other. Her PowerPoint presentation is backyards and unreadable. It is hot. We just want to see our kids sing.
Avoid this place. |
OMG this. That presentation was ridiculous. She essentially lured parents there to see their kids sing and then ambushed us with a 30 minute lecture on how we work too much and have high levels of anxiety over our kids. Please relax and look at this backwards PowerPoint. |
We went to the timeshare style presentation that the owner does when you tour. We were really put off by the fake science presented as well as a number of sexist comments (boys play with trucks, girls play with dolls type of thing). The owner seemed really awful. The comments above about the "graduation" seem to confirm this! |
We went to the pre-opening "open house" as well. My husband also called it a timeshare pitch. |
Don't be fooled by this school's fake curriculum, it is a complete lie unless you think plopping kids in front of a television is Montessori. Also, as others say, teacher turnover is way too high, the owner can't seem to keep the good ones around. Some are still good but others you wonder why some are there at all and it is true, the owner is all about the money. |
Agree it was terrible! The kids were waiting downstairs for so long. Why didnt the youngest kids go first? Why didn't Ms. Becky even get to speak? The anxious parents are at fault, the kids are happy??? So unprofessional. |
Sorry, this school is unimpressive and has rightfully developed a horrible reputation despite the owner's propaganda. I recently heard that a child was actually left inside during a fire alarm though they swept the incident under the rug and never reported it. Be careful!
Any of you considering this school also need to know it is not fully accredited and may have to have your kids repeat a grade. Look into it depending on your age group. Finally, they have even hired teachers who don't even speak English because the good ones and the English speakers just keep leaving! |
This is a myth. I urge you to look into it. |
My child has been there since January and is thriving! It is much better than the place we came from which was another old town preschool.
I like how they go outside at least 2 times a day and the hands on work they do. The facility is brand new and they clearly put money into the supplies and resources. Other places we toured had awful and run down toys and facilities. Also my kid brings home "art" and not worksheets of letters we were getting at his old preschool. It's not perfect but I'm not sure there is a perfect preschool! My kid is happy and I'm thankful. |
My child just LOVE Vinci School he learns a lot and in age 4 starts spelling, writing and reading. We really appreciate and highly respecting his teachers who are professional and always helpful. Who ever is interested should check out for themselves!!! Really great place |
