+1

+2. I don't like the look of heels with jeans. Maybe if they are very edgy and are not something that looks like workwear.

Beige or "nude" pump all the way!

Can someone post a photo of skinny jeans + heels that they think looks chic?

Ballet flats are an easy choice with lots of variations, like these: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/earthies-essen-ghillie-flat-women/4319549?origin=category-personalizedsort&fashioncolor=PRUNE%20SUEDE

Or a slim line loafer: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ugg-bentlie-crystal-embellished-quilt-flat-women/4367420?origin=category-personalizedsort&fashioncolor=BLACK%20SUEDE

Or kitten heel: https://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shoes/pumpsandheels/PRDOVR~A9758/A9758.jsp

Do not do anything like this unless you are 60+.

Hey, to each their own but there's absolutely no rule that says going out has to include high heels. If you see a woman hobbling uncomfortably in a gorgeous pair of shoes, all you remember is that she looked uncomfortable. In my book, that translates to looking ridiculous.

OP, what brands do you wear? Do you have a style? "Going out" where? Clubs? Dinner with friends @ a suburban restaurant, etc?

my current go-to with my skinnies:

I'm 5'7" 130. And 50.

Setting aside the unnecessary 60+ comment, PP, I think you either answer the OP's question or leave it. Or answer it and not take umbrage when someone would still rather have gorgeous shoes.

I can't do heels anymore unless they are chunky, which is why I stick with boots. I'm in my lart 50s and my feet just can't anymore.

OP, I'm 35 also. I would probably not take 50s fashion advice unless you want to look a little dowdy when going out!

For going out, you can totally wear your office pumps if they are classic. However, going out heels tend to be taller and stiletto. Stacked heels are very in this year, but IMO they are going to go out in a season or two and look clunky and out-of-date super soon. Up to you whether you go trendy (stacked heel) or classic (black stilettos).

In your 30s you can pull of this look:

Or (even cuter with red heels) this look (but ugh, not with the torn jeans, leave that to the 20-somethings ):

Sorry you found umbrage where there was none. I did answer the OP's question:

Anonymous wrote:Please recommend a show to wear out with super skinny darker jeans. I'm thinking a heel but I'm clueless when it comes to fashionable "going out" heels. I wear grandma comfort heels for work. Would love links to recommendations. No specific budget but probably not more than $200.

If a person is typically wearing comfort heels for work, they're not going to do well in the 4" pointy toe pump. You don't have to agree, but "going out" shoes don't have to be heels and flat shoes don't have to be grandma.

I think pointy toed flats or heels both work. Bonus if they are interesting/unusual in some way.

Other things work too, but the above in a neutral like black or a metallic would be most versatile.

There has to be other options between grandma heels and pointy toed 4inch heels. Boots work in Fall and Winter.
