new Janney principal selected--from Stoddert

I was dropping something off in the Stoddert office once (we don't attend the school though, long story) and she went out of her way to introduce herself. She was so friendly and I remember it well. Nice choice!

Lucky Janney! She will be greatly missed at Stoddert.

I'm new at Janney this year for K and I've never talked to the principal... I'm excited for something new! It's a great school but can always get better.

That being said- she looks the right part for janney. I'll be interested to see what you all think. Hopefully good things ahead!

don't be so snide about looking the part. no ones looks should be the topic of conversation on this board.

Wait- are you serious? Every other comment on this board is about FARMS- which is all about looks.

FARMS has zero to do with looks

Janney is lucky-we had her as a teacher for DC in her first year of teaching (at Murch) and she was a superstar back then. She was at Murch for 3 years, then taught internationally for 2years, before becoming a coach while continuing her own education.

What about the Janney dad with the five-fingered shoes?

Wow. You seem to know a lot about her for only having her as your kids teacher for one year...

Why is that weird? I thought she was a great teacher, I liked her, I appreciated her, and I'm happy for her. I keep in touch with important people in my life-this includes my children's' teachers.

Sure.... This isn't at all a fake post boosting a new principal. Not at all.

I have no dog in the race-not a stoddert parent, not a janney parent. I was really responding to the person who said she only had a year or 2 of experience as a teacher. I wish her and Janney the best.

I was hoping that Janney would select a top principal after a broad search - not necessarily national but not just DC either. And then they take someone from down the road who doesn't even have JKLM experience.

What?!?! "Not even jklm experience"

What bubble do you live in?

+1000 not the warmest welcome. However, she seems like a very solid candidate.

I feel bad for her having to deal with the self aggrandizing Janney community.
