I haven't watched yet, but now am invested knowing he's a local well-regarded OBGYN. For any of you who were or are his patients--did you see this side of him at all? |

| My daughter alerted me to watch this episode. as an ob/gyn ,I was disgusted at his stupid an crude sexual jokes about his job. As a female I would never let him touch me. He is obviously a hanger on’er to baseball star Johnny Damon. He signed up for free Ride on the baseball has been’s coattails. Totally gross! |

| I would never let him touch me. Only know him through neighborhood activities and he is a vile human. I saw him scream at a woman to F@#$ Off. Uses the word Pu$$& regularly in a crude and disgusting manor. I am surprised his practice puts up with his antics. Our community is not impressed by him at all. |

| Long post, but please read. I still support him, and continue to see him. Dr. Apgar has been my doctor for 17 years, I followed him from Simmons and Simmons to Capital Women’s Care when I was a teenager. He came across so badly on Below Deck - when I realized it was him, I was excited and curious. When I saw his fedora, chain, and bowling shirt, I paused. When I realized how terribly he was presenting himself, my heart dropped. He seemed like a despicable person, and must have lost many patients because of it. Despite our long term relationship, I refuse to bring it up with him because he must be so embarrassed. I would like to defend him, and explain his personality. He is a good person, he works hard and has always taken excellent care of me from a medical perspective. He is kind and compassionate while snarky and sarcastic and silly. As his patient, his blunt communication is actually appreciated (e.g. “you’re overweight and that’s unhealthy so let’s work together to fix this” and “I’m sorry to call at 1030pm but your xrays were just sent over from the surgeon and while it’s not an emergency, you have two massive tumors that need to be removed very soon, I’m sure you’re scared from what the oncologist said so tell me how you’re feeling”). I watch several of the Bravo shows, so will not suggest that he was badly edited - I have a feeling he was over compensating for the cameras and enjoying a vacation from his stressful job with his childhood buddy. |
