Laurel. Brooke is very 80s. The rest are too popular for my taste.
I have tried to get Laurel on our list. My husband just doesn't like it, and since he only has veto power, I have to respect it. But this one bums me out because it is a great name. |
Only if you actually live anywhere near that town. Nobody else even gives that a second thought. I honestly didn't even think of that connection until someone on these boards brought it up, and I've lived in the mid-Atlantic my entire 36 years (last 16 in nova) |
I like Evelyn the most followed by Brooke.
I do like Isabel but way too popular. I had Charlotte...mostly because I intensely dislike the nickname "Char". It sounds like Cher or Shari or Sherry. |
PS i don't like Laurel because I just think of laurel Maryland. Or laurel Wood. |
Evelyn. |
Boring. |
Evelyn. |
Please, no more Isabels. |
I truly dislike the name Laurel. I would probably like Brooke, but for an old frenemy. Evelyn is adorable, especially if you call her Eve or Evie. Isabel is nice if she is called Izzy. And Charlotte is fine but I would never expect anything exciting out of her. |
+ a zillion Stop the madness |
I actually almost used the name Evie for #1. Just Evie. http://nameberry.com/babyname/Evie |
Evelyn, Brooke, or Laurel. I love them.
Charlotte is pretty but I know a lot of little Charlottes. Isabel... way too common (although that is my favorite spelling). |
Evelyn. Not nearly as popular as others. Laurel reminds me of Laurel and Hardy. |
Lyn or Lynnie are cute nicknames for Evelyn. |
Laurel or Charlotte. OP, are you the OP of another recent baby name thread? I suggested these two names there.
Laurel was my first choice name for a girl until my sister named her dd Lauren. I didn't want to stand accused of being a copycat (only half kidding) so I gave up Laurel. |
