What's wrong with Dooney and Bourke?

Remember in the early 2000s when Dooney and Bourke did those technicolor bags? Like bubblegum pink with colored lettering? Those weer HUGE with teens!!!

They're fine. I think they can be classic and understated and tasteful. And they break in like a beautiful english saddle or a baseball glove--and they do last forever. Labels don't make the bag (DB makes plenty that just have small logo on them). Buy what you like.

They're conservative for sure. I like them and I don't ever like anything flashy. I think any bag with a printed label all over it is hideous. I have this exact bag in this color. I can fit my iPad in it and a large wallet/billfold and lots of stuff without it becoming a bottomless pit.

Op here: I don't know how to post pictures, but this is the bag I want, thinking of getting it for Christmas.

I have one nice DB bag. The logo isn't big or obvious. Typically I carry very plain coach bags but I saw this one and really liked it. I don't care what's trendy; I just like quality bags without obvious logos.

My 10+ year old DB bag says made in america on the label, which made me really happy at the time. The ones now are made in china, kind of lost the specialness for me.

The "Vintage" ones are coming back in style!
People like the "Made in USA" nostalgia about them.

I think that's a nice bag at a reasonable price point.

I like their all weather leather line, but their modern designs, not so much. I would consider Coach or Tory Burch.

I loved them, and they held up very well...but I stopped liking them so much when they got all the more "trendy" looking lines (in the early 2000s?)

A couple years ago, I was in Lord and Taylor, and saw some bags by "Radley" that seemed very nice...Anyone know much about this brand?

Radley is a well-known British brand. I have a Radley wallet that has held up very well.

My mother just bought me one for Christmas. It will fit all my work stuff, including a laptop on occasion as well they extras I need with a 6 year old (snack, wipes, etc).

Nice leather. They wear like iron and most are not heavily logoed

+1 I've had their bags for years...

They were hot in the 90's, then they tried too hard to be trendy and started putting logos and the rainbow color D and B all over the bags. I bought one last summer at a thrift store for $10-just to use in the summer as a clutch size bag.

The all leather ones are nice and sturdy but if you must have a bag that has "status", then DB is not that bag. If you need a quality bag then it's good for the price.
