Their upholstered furniture is amazing. I have one armchair and one sofa that are several years old and they have lasted perfectly. The sofa in particular is over 10 years old and still looks new. Their wood furniture is nice but honestly doesn't feel too different -- quality-wise -- than C&B. But they do say they source wood and craft their furniture in the USA so if that's a priority, or if you like their styles, go for R&B.

I have not had such a good experience. I love Room and Board because I like the style of the furniture. Over years I have purchased bedroom and living room furniture. I have a sectional that for no reason at all started turning red in spots. (The fabric is brown). The couch was not exposed to direct sign light. A couple of chairs I hardly ever sat on did the same thing. I have another sofa and chair several years older purchased elsewhere and they have held up well.

A lot of their stuff is made in the USA and reasonably priced for such quality. I think a lot of the stuff is solid wood, but the individual collections or pieces will specify. We have a couch from there and have been pleased.

We bought a marble kitchen table and 4 chairs from R&B last year. They have a good return policy. We originally bought 2 tables and 2 types of chairs to see which fit best in our kitchen--for one delivery charge. They took back the one we didn't want for no additional charge.

I would say it's pretty good quality, but not as good as our Restoration Hardware furniture. OTOH it may be b/c modern style furniture may not be as sturdy as the modern/contemporary style of RH.

After these two brands, i would say PB is next in quality. C&B is ok, and i've noticed it's gone down in quality over the years. Haven't bought any major pieces from C&B but my bro and SIL and it hasn't survived their two kids.

I love my R&B Jasper sofa. In general, R & B is not my style, but they have quite a few pieces that could fit into any decorating scheme. The quality of the upholstered furniture is great. Service is great. Many fabric optios. I have a feeling that some of the case goods are not the very best. However, prices are fair, and the quality is good. RH is MADE IN CHINA. R&B is made in the USA, which appeals to me.
