Urgent care in downtown DC or near metro?

There is a fast track clinic at Farragut North, but don't think they have a pediatrician on staff.

FYI, since nobody has mentioned it yet, the Cleveland Park clinic is literally on top of the metro entrance. But the elevator at that metro is out of service until April 2012.

There is a Take Care Clinic at the Walgreens in Van Ness, right next to the metro exit. I took my DS there for strep throat and they were great. It's a new clinic so there was no wait either.

(Oh, but it's not a pediatric urgent care, specifically...I think it's called Express Urgent Care or something like that)

I thought that one shut down years ago---there is the new one in Clarendon now.

Is the one in Clarendon called Mid Atlantic?... I just checked the place today and noticed the following FALSE STATEMENT:

http://www.midatlanticurgentcare.com/about-us
Danielle S. Jean, M.D. /Mid Atlantic
Dr. Jean has trained extensively in Family Medicine and has experience in urgent care. She has worked for The George Washington University and National Institutes of Health. After an Internship at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver, PA, she completed her Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Maryland in 2010. Prior to joining Mid Atlantic Urgent Care, Dr. Jean had been attending physician at DC Immediate Primary Care. She is fluent in several languages, including Creole and French.

SUCH A SHAME TO USE ANOTHER BUSINESS FOR MARKETING- SHE ONLY WORKED THERE FOR MAYBE 3 MONTHS and was NOT an ATTENDING PHYSICIAN. (She was new when I first went to DC immediate and Primary Care and was gone when I returned for my follow up appt. 2 months later.

Scary!!! Makes you wonder about this place. However, I will contact DC Immediate and Primary Care and bring to their attention this false statement.

They are great! However the following day I ended up going to the Cleveland Park urgent care at the recommendation of the Walgreen staff.

It's a travel clinic and they don't take insurance.

Go to Metro Immediate and Primary Care. They see kids and take insurance. This place is very nice. No waiting time and you will be able to see a doctor.

that's a problem only if you are disable. the escalators are working. however Shuttle bus service will be provided to/from Woodley Park Station. In addition, customers can use Metrobus routes L1, L2, and L4 to travel between Cleveland Park and Woodley Park.

Service Advisory - Cleveland Park: Entrance Elevator Out of Service for Modernization. Beginning on or about January 5 through early May, 2012, the entrance elevator at the Cleveland Park Station will be out of service for a multi-month modernization project. During this time crews will replace all key components of the elevator to provide more reliable service.

A new place is now open in Capitol Hill...the place and staff are wonderful and looks almost the same as the one in Cleveland Park. I don't think their website works or maybe is under construction. Check them below.

I was at Metro Immediate & Primary Care few days ago. They see babies. However, I was told by the dr that if it's something serious they will recommend Children hospital which is 10 minutes away from this place. Great place! Excellent staff!!!

Honestly, because of the shameless self promotion of Immediate & Primary Care on this thread, I think less of the clinic and probably wouldn't recommend it. It seems crazed.

THis is an old thread, but there is also an urgent care near the Pentagon City Metro on Fern street, between 12th and 15th Streets (next to Dunkin Donuts). I took my daughter there and it was fine. I liked Simplicity better, but they are not at all metro accessible.

I have personally been to both places Clevelenad Park and L street/Hill few days ago. It was recommended to me by a coworker. If you have further questions, please provide me your email or phone number. I will be happy to contact you directly and share my experience. I work in Farragut North, happy to meet you in person.

Hello - I am from DC myself and I care for everything new that effects my life. ..Such as Cleveland Park urgent care, Walgreens in Van ness, L Street urgent care, CVS...so many options for us...

FYI re Cleveland Park urgent care -- we went Sunday afternoon once around 1:30 pm or so and they turned us away saying they were completely booked. You can register online for an appointment, but if it is later in the day make sure to call ahead to see if they are still taking walk-ins.
