Has Adam Sandler ever made a GOOD movie?

Big-time republican.

The Wedding Singer was watchable, although Drew Barrymore was annoying. Maybe I liked that movie just because of all the '80s music.

I also liked 50 First Dates...and I have always thought Billy Madison was funny but that might be because I was the right demographic when it came out (highschool). He also was in a movie aobut 9/11...I can't remember the name but it was interesting to see him play a much more serious role.

Definitely artsy and his acting was good-but was it as a whole a good movie? Meh. And guess what, whether you like or not, Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer, Billy Madison which are certainly worse movies even if they made more sense also made something more important-$$$. I don't know if it is true today, but for a few years Adam Sandler movies were extremely bankable, it didn't matter if they were good. That's how it works today in mainstream Hollywood. If a studio is going spend a few million dollars to make a movie, they are more concerned about getting their money back tripled then creating art.

I cannot believe no-one has mentioned "Spanglish" - what a great film and he was wonderful, sensitive and loveable. Also, 50 First date! And the Wedding Singer! And the new one with Jennifer Aniston is cute

I am in shock that anyone thought Grown Ups was funny. I walked out of that one.

I can't stand him. But I really liked Spanglish.
Plus, my kid loves his singing with Elmo video from Sesame Street! Does that count?

I love happy Gilmore.

I actually just watched grown ups last night and liked it a lot.

Like all comedian, you have to like his style.

Don't care for him in general but I did think "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" had some really hilarious moments. Good Jewish humor.

Yikes, I didn't realize he was Republican. I had to google that to verify. Hmmm.

I liked him in Spanglish too. Cant stand Tea Leoni though.

Happy Gilmore is a CLASSIC. Not as classic but still really funny (in a nothing on on Sunday afternoon way like a PP said) are Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds and The Waterboy.

He was AMAZEBALLS in Punch Drunk Love and Spanglish.

I didn't exactly recommend "Grownups" to my friends, but I did see it on my directv PPV and didn't regret the $4.99 expense. Some of it was stupid or silly or vulgar, but it made me laugh out loud a few times. I've liked plenty of other Adam Sandler movies - especially the Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates - but thought "Don't Mess With the Zohan" was just dumb.
