Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya are probably the two biggest young actors now. Saiorse Ronan is up there but she needs a “big” blockbuster type movie to become more generally recognizable. She definitely has the talent though. The problem is just like everything, there are very few big blockbusters or “appointment TV” series anymore due to having so many choices and our entertainment choices becoming so fractured as a result. People aren’t all watching the same movies and the same shows, there’s a lot more dilution.

I don't think Oscars are a good measure. Frances McDormand has four Oscars, and I wouldn't consider her A List. And I love Frances McDormand.

She is an indie film actress and very niche. If she had wanted to be A list she would be.
