Not personal leave, though. Medical or professional, perhaps. |
Same at our ES. My kids ES teachers for the past two years are out as much as 1 week per month. I have no idea why but it seems to be common these days. |
Why would you need to know why? |
I don't. The point was they're absent about 25% of the time and this isn't limited to one teacher. |
Teachers get 3 personal days a year. They may be on long term sick leave or are taking a leave of absence. |
Or the acting deputy superintendent Lance Dempsey. Hopefully this means the BOE has caught on to how terrible both of them are. |
Dempsey's current title is special assistant to the Office of the Deputy Superintendent. |
Dr. Johnson is pretty terrible.
Why did they bring him back? |
I agree. I was not impressed with him during his substitution for Felder during the BOE meeting. |
Could be FMLA, could be they are in IEP/504 meetings all day, could be their grest grandmother's 95th bday for all you know. So judgey |
He seemed OK to me. |
I don't really care where they are. My point just is that nobody is ever teaching the kids. Like another poster said, the teachers and staff are out a minimum of 25% and there are no subs so it's just a free for all most days. |
This a valid concern and widespread throughout the system! |
