It's a Luca Guadagnino film. He's main stream art house. I mean, it's a gay man's depiction of a women's tennis player...so yeah. The budget for this at $55m is way too big for him.

He does more with less, imho.

Call Me By Your Name and We Are Who We Are (HBO limited series) were fantastic.

It’s clearly not a movie about athletes nor athletic feats, more about lust. They just need to look pretty.
