All this talk I have done about no facelift ever was fine…until my jawline has started to go south

???

Did I end the thread bringing up financing it? I also think it's crazy all the 20-somethings/early 30-somethings getting preventive botox. My nephew's wife 29 is starting to look older getting botox over time.

Are you considering a facelift?

I had a mini face lift 5 months ago and LOVE my results. I'm 45. I had lost a lot of weight but my face didn't show it. Now my cheeks/jowls look great. Not fake, just not saggy and bloated the way I looked before.

Who cares?

I work in plastic surgery getting a mini lift next month.

Most (if not all) of the celebrities who look natural in their 50s and above have had facelifts. Not fillers. Just a really good mini lift. Facial plastic surgery has evolved drastically in recent years. There are no longer the 'pulled tight or scar by ear" issues. Good facelifts just refresh.

will you come back and tell us about your experience?

As soon as I finish paying for my kids college, I'm getting one - also agre it's better the fillers in the long run

Anonymous wrote:I have nothing against cosmetic surgery except two things:

1. I terrified of surgery in general, so would only ever do medically-necessary ones.

2. The problem with cosmetic surgery is that your face ages over the years, and it's very hard, even for an experienced surgeon, to predict how your "new" face will start to sag after a few years. Which is why some people tweak their faces continuously and sometimes, without meaning to, end up looking horrific.

So... beware, I guess. Pick a REALLY GOOD surgeon.

How does someone actually find a really good surgeon?

Well I guess it’s not as high as you think.

$500k and very frugal. Two kids in private college is $184k/year.

I was hoping to learn how they funded it, too! I'm 58 and not only do I have jowls now, my neck is looking saggy! I'd love a facelift!

How expensive is the car that you drive? Lots of people think nothing of a 50k car. I see Teslas all over the place. A face lift is a fraction of that. And yes, they do have financing programs.

Fillers are the worst! People just need to stop getting them. They look good right away, but then are terrible even a few years later. Just say no!

Who does it well for a fraction of the price? I've always thought I'd go with Jacono, but he's about 80k.

I'm the PP you're responding to. I drive a 2010 Toyota Camry we bought used 7 years ago. My DH drives a 2003 Honda Odyssey we bought used in 2006. We bought a 2007 Toyota Camry 2 years ago for our 3 kids to share. Combined, their value is less than $50K.
