How do you stop being a parent?

Anonymous
You never stop being a parent, you just adjust how you parent. You move from holding their hand, to guiding them to listening to them. Our kids are in their 30s and doing well on their own so our role is to listen when they want advice on things like investments, wills and other things like that. At the same time, once in awhile I can’t help myself in asking “is that really a good idea”?
