It's just another example of how most Americans - especially people who style themselves as "Independents" - don't want to take any responsibility the poor choices they make and the resulting outcomes. This is actually a nationwide cultural crisis.

Actually, the Steele Dossier was commissioned by Republican operatives at the beginning of the GOP primary, but abandoned. Clinton picked up where they left off.

But yes - most national campaigns use opposition research. Nothing new here.
