Two years ago they sent rejections first, then acceptances maybe 45 minutes later, the Friday before spring break, around 3 or 4pm. |
Yes, in the past few years it has been right before spring break. |
Friday feels so far away!
Good luck to all those waiting |
When my DD was accepted for fall 2021, the email came as I was walking home from the bus stop drop off, around 8:30 a.m. on the Friday before spring break began. |
Wouldn’t that have been covid spring of 2021 when the students had only returned back to school for 2 days in person and many still remained fully virtual? Nothing was normal that year! |
so the decision would be in an email? i will look out for it then |
I looked it up in my email.
In 2022, the Friday before Spring Break was March 31. The acceptance note arrived via email at 310pm that day. Rejections were beforehand. |
In 2023 March 31st |
Yep, that was the year! I checked and it came at 8:30 on April 9. |
Remember to check the spam folder and double check what email address you put on the form. My DH used one of his obscure emails because, well who knows why, and the email went there. I recall being a bit worried because the email had not arrived at the normal account. It took a bit of prompting but DH finally checked through all of his accounts and found the one he submitted it through. We had a few friends who texted when they heard so I went looking.
We wanted DS to have the option of LIV but we were not planning on moving him because he is in a language immersion program. We are activating services for MS. |
I am already considering the appeal process. Although DC got 99% for both NNAT and Cogat, his HOPE must be very low based on my communication with his teachers. This little troublemaker has slim chance to be put in AAP. Sometimes I feel we should try appeal. Sometimes I feel maybe it's better waiting for his class behavior getting improved. What a headache |
Are you doing things to improve the classroom behavior? He might need more supports in place to help him get to a better place behaviorally. |
What support can hyperactive kids have at school? Any suggestions? |
You’ll get better advice on the special needs forum but if it were my kid, I’d start with evaluation for ADHD and then meet with the school to get 504 in place. |
Not what you asked but one of my friends had success with making her son exercise before school (ride bike for 30 mins). Got out a lot of excess energy and the teacher even asked / thanked her and thought she had started him on meds. |
