I didn’t realize mom cliques are still a thing. They felt uber uncomfortable seeing me there. I texted one of the mom’s later and said I didn’t realize there was an invite only Friday gatherings. Bus stop interactions will be interesting on Monday! LMAO! Share your favorite mom clique story DCUM.

They sound like barely functioning alcoholics. I would consider yourself blessed to not be around these individuals. I bet they're aging like kaka with all that alcohol.

Agree. And I suspect we’re getting some mom wine hangover fatigue pushback.

+1. Now everyone knows who not to invite.

Evidence that those mean girls your daughters encounter throughout their lives don’t fall far from the tree.

How does having lunch with friends at a winery indicate “barely functioning alcoholic”? I’m truly curious.

See I’m not hearing that at all. sounds like the knew they were being exclusionary and it was obvious. If anything cracking a joke about it diffuses the awareness.

She could have just let it roll off her back and been as unbothered as she claims.

She could’ve done a backflip with corks in her ears too, but this is irrelevant.

I’d def invite you.

Honestly i find you exhausting and don’t feel like explaining why day drinking is a bad look.

The mean girl pta vibe is heavy handed here. The defensive posture in favor of this group and antagonistic approach to op is wild.

Yes, isn’t it exhausting when someone calls out your nonsensical comment and you are intellectually incapable of responding? Gosh, that’s just the worst.

+1, we actually don't get much info from OP here, certainly not enough to draw conclusions. The people who are assuming good intent by this group and hurling insults at OP are simply showing themselves up.

Yeah, I've been trying to wade through this thread and still haven't found the crucial detail that is missing. I can totally picture 15 or so moms from my child's school getting together at a winery in the middle of the day. I'm not friends with them and it would never occur to me to feel left out. If OP is friends with some of them then I will empathize, but if it's more like OP is just a casual friend of one of them then this is ridiculous. And no, I am not a mean girl clique mom for saying that. I just find all the school parent clique drama so tiresome. Anyone have the answer?
