Why? I thought kids loved it there.

Full-pay everywhere.

Public policy/Govt/politics leaning:

Hopkins
BC
Georgetown
W&M
UVA
Boston College
Pomona

Go...

For that major, W&M or Georgetown given the accessibility to DC internships.

William and Mary isn’t in the same league as Hopkins, Georgetown, Pomona . . So unless kid really loved the campus, that would be the first I’d eliminate.

I don't think UVA is either.

+1. Not even close.

They (W&M and UVA) are both really strong in this area and likely in-state tuition, so I would not exclude them. You don't want to deep in undergraduate debt for Govt/Public Policy/Politics to keep your early career options open.

Is that BC twice? Full pay with in-state for W&M and UVA? They would be good options in that case.

This. As PP stated, these would provide great undergrad education and save money for grad. I love BC, I just don't think it's worth $120K more than W&M or UVA.

Not all of us live in VA.

I think both Georgetown and maybe Hopkins justify the tuition over in-state and that major/area.

Pomona is Pomona and would be for other reasons than major.

My DD is in this major and my recollection is that BC isn't really strong in it, or at least certainly not worth the higher tuition compared to UVA and W&M.

Georgetown has my vote. If finances are in issue in-state would be fine.

Definitely Georgetown, but if VA in state than W&M. Truly, no need to spend more than you need to for a good education.

It’s gotten less fun apparently, no grade inflation, lots of work, and no Greek life. Even Hopkins has an active Greek scene, and better lacrosse.
