I'm surprised they don't have enough girls for a second 2008 team or boys for a third 2011 team. |
from u11 on, it goes ecnl-rl, gold, white, black, silver. So black is fourth. |
I can't imagine how slim the pickins are to hire more coaches after everywhere else has already hired for next year. its college kids or dad rec coaches left to hire, and you are paying the same price as kids on the teams with the experienced headliner coaches. |
Agree these jumped out at me as odd too |
He coached 2011 boys second team this past year. |
They cannot retain enough players for these second teams. Look at their line up. Plenty of younger teams bc they dont know better. U11-12 is when the kids start to either find new clubs bc they realize the scam or they are over soccer. |
Question: did CYA and SYA travel soccer have issues before they merged to become valor? Or was this a situation of two not so good clubs coming together to make a bigger not so good club? We have experience with CYA rec soccer and I don’t think they run it very well. It seems like the problem maybe starts there. But have no experience with SYA. |
He is a great coach. One of the best from SYA, now Valor. I get there are some frustrations with the club (all deserved) but he is a great coach. The kids and parents will love him. The 2nd team coach is also very strong. |
And yes, he has coached girls. He was on the girls side prior with SYA. |
SYA was strong. No clue why they merged. Perhaps so they can get better/more fields. |
We started CYA soccer in the beginning and I remember at that time there is not enough player to make a team for one age group. So merge is expected. |
I don't think a merge was necessary - CYA kids could have picked Herndon for travel. |
Is Herndon good for travel? Especially interested in the boys’ side. |
Where are people going? |
No clue where they are going. We had 4 girls not show up for tryouts at all and some of the girls mentioned to others that they are not returning. We are assuming 4-6 girls are on their way out. |
