Fairfax County Not Protecting Public Safety

Anonymous
Why are they releasing alleged child abusers on bond and ignoring ICE detainers. There are people being arrested for child abuse and released multiple times in Fairfax County. Is this a Descano policy? I understand counties not wanting to have people deported over a minor traffic ticket, but come on this is beyond ridiculous. Someone has a documented pattern of harming children and Fairfax won't turn them over to ICE.

The community should be able to sue for this kind of negligence. I can’t tell who the government wants to protect. More like, I know it’s not the public and it weren’t true.

These are non-violent offenses and the accused is innocent until proven guilty.

All part of Descano’s catch and release program.

It's pretty clear progressive value virtue signaling over public safety, especially child safety from predators. Seems Descano has the sheriff parroting their invented standard requiring a "judicial immigration warrant." They've been saying that for 5 years now but no one else needs that to turn criminals over to ICE.

I am betting the victims don't consider these offenses "non-violent."
He may be innocent until proven guilty, but given that he was arrested, released, then arrested again on the same charges, perhaps it is time that Fairfax County work with ICE to detain these individuals until a trial/hearing is held. Or, do you think it is ok to put additional children at risk?

When someone has committed similar offenses with three different minors, it is a pattern. Innocent until proven guilty is not how the immigration system should work for situations like this.

As we have learned on other threads, children serve no useful purpose.

It is truly astounding to me how liberals will defend a pedophile over children. Very eye-opening.

Alleged pedophile. The man has not been convicted of anything. And the statement said the alleged crimes were "without force."

It was right for Fairfax County to protect this man from deportation. He has just as much a right to be here as we do. He was probably trying to leave the oppression in Honduras and wanted a better life here.

No, he doesn't.
He is present illegally. He broke our laws to enter. Then, broke more laws by allegedly preying on children.
If his "better life" comes at the expense of children, he can go the hell back to Honduras.

What is unique about an immigrant and why fixate on this man? Wouldn’t all those charged with the same crime be equally “risky”?
