Impressive young woman

This girl is epitome of intelligence, charm and enlightenment. Taking away her privilege to speak is USC's loss, not hers. Dialogue and communication is the only way to solve real issues.

link is not working but I think you are talking about Asia Tabassum right? Agreed that she is very eloquent for such a young person. I think a star was just born.

It seems so. Just saw this on ABC. Most of us would've paid no attention to a speech by some random school's valedictorian but USC actually gave her a bigger platform by taking away her chance to speak. I don't know much about her but she seems sensible.

Total Streisand Effect at USC, all to placate some wealthy donors. The sight of a visible Muslim woman was too much.

Not sure that any pro-Palestinian speaker can be a unifying voice. Did you hear what happened at the Berkeley law school 1L dinner at the Dean's house? It didn't go well.

Even though it was at school's property, it was dean's home so I don't support a random protest there even if young lady was an invited guest as a law student and paid customer of USC.

However, USC valedictorian was robbed of her chance to make a well earned speech based on random assumptions.

To be fair, dean's wife didn't have to wrestle her, could've called security after she declined to be silenced.

Intelligence, charm, and enlightenment? She sounds like a doink. Sure, just solve the Middle East conflict by asking everyone to get along. And for Israel to give up their religious majority in their country. Right. Why didn't anyone think of that before?

Wrong time, girl.

Look this is what Bill Ackman and company set out to accomplish. Mission accomplished. Could you imagine the outage if a student who was Jewish was denied and silenced(who knows what she was going to say) in the same way.

The administration after pressure from unidentified groups on and off campus has denied a Jewish student the right to speak because she was Jewish. The unidentified groups said the student was jewish and must be made an example of.

So she has studied genocide and written about it and her conclusion is that ... those poor Palestinians are being genocided when they have a historical claim to the land. Umm, now do the other guys.

Such blindness. SMH
