Where are your UNDER 1400 SAT kids going?

Are they happy? Where did they apply and get in/not get in? Merit anywhere?

Everyone here has scores over 1400?!

You just have to take everything you read here with a grain of salt. That thread about where your kid is going has like 6 kids going to Stanford. Doubt it. We have a lot of teenagers here and a lot of people who just like to troll.

It's just weird all the kids seem to have SAT scores above 1500. It'd be nice to see where kids who are good students but not top go.

They don't all have scores above 1500. If your kid already took the SAT, it will show you the school, state and national average. The average score for all test takers for the March test was 1176. Both Math and R&W were below 600. That's not going to superscore you above 1500.

My kid had a 1210 score. He applied to 8 schools (all state flagships) and got into all 8. He applied TO to about half of them. He got merit from 6.

There are plenty of options out there.

Where do you find this? I am looking in college board and don't see it. Is it possible some school don't share that info?

My DS got a 1290 on the SAT (3.98 weighted gpa from FCPS) and is going to JMU this fall.

He also applied and got into Penn State and GMU.

Kid submitted a superscored 1400 and is attending a T15 SLAC. Unhooked girl with financial need.

It's just that these are the only people posting stats on dcum.

My neice got a 1350 and will be attending UVA. I think you just need to get your score in the ballpark - even if it is on the lower end (and of course make sure that your GPA, activities, essay and recs are good too). She did get waitlisted for W&M.

Of course they’re happy. Most kids get lower scores and go to colleges that make them happy.
