If your child has not yet decided, list the options (if u want major, financial concerns, etc) and let the masses weigh in.

UGA
Wisconsin Business. Neither are direct admit UGA cheaper. DC will go visit anyways but always fun to see others opinions. Also waiting on Michigan but very unlikely and $$$ |

PSU Behrend Virginia Tech Michigan state university Drexel UC Davis Case Western Northeastern (1st semester abroad) Ohio State University of Pittsburgh Prefers: School with a strong CS reputation, huge rahrah school spirit. Moved to LA in High school(Dad's job) but originally from the DMV area and still have a home there. |
Northeastern or VTech |
CMU - grant $37K, has to apply for annual renewal
URochester - scholarship $14K annually UNC - scholarship $4.7K annually UVA W&M intended major Biology or Chemistry Prefers mid size, not into sports or greek |
just because I have heard the supports for ADHD kids are really great, I'd say GMU |
I would do Williams or maybe Rice because I think the Cal schools are overenrolled and major like that suggests to me maybe grad school is in the future and LAC would be a good place to start. |
And I’d vote WI |
UMass
Eckerd Ithaca UMD |
These schools are quite varied in size and geography. If $ not a factor, have student pick too 3 and visit or re-visit. |
Those are all so different. What does your DC want to study? Gut response says UMD. |
Rochester and W&M seem to fit the type of school environment your child seeks. Great options though! W&M a fantastic in-state option for science majors. |
