Neighbor is living her best life on Disability with "Long Covid"

She is a fed but hasn't worked since summer 2020. She lunches and plays tennis at her club, hosts book (wine) club and is constantly jetting off on vacation with her husband and kids. They are leaving Saturday for Italy. All the while collecting disability from the SS administration as well as from her fed job. She says she doesn't think she will "ever be able to go back to work." She is not even yet 40.

I'm sure someone will chime in with her "invisible" symptoms, but this is crazy, right??? If this is what Long Covid looks like, sign me up!

If she made it through the process, then she really had some doctors behind the scenes documenting on her behalf. Sounds like her symptoms are more than you personally know of.

My brother was a cop.

His arm doesn’t work so he can’t shoot a gun.

If you look at him he looks fine but he is disabled, he can’t do his job.

If she's playing tennis and enjoying overseas vacations (Italy requires a lot of walking), there is no way she is actually disabled.
