I’m 42 and have always or did always like Jcrew clothing. Their stuff is just blah now and maybe I’ve outgrown the styles.
I like colorful things and but also quality and semi sophisticated. Non colorful I keep thinking of maybe trying Theory or Vince. Colorful maybe Vineyard Vines. I want affordable clothing although the brands I’m considering aren’t cheap. I’d like a bead that has clothing for work. Also same or another brand for leisure. Any ideas? |
Banana republic? |
Boden |
I used to buy a lot of JCrew also. Moved on a few years ago and now shop mostly at Evereve, with a bit of Vineyard Vines when I'm in the mood for more color. |
Quince for basics
Boden or Uniqlo for colorful/trendier shapes |
J. McLaughlin
Marine Layer Lilly Pulitzer |
Everlane for neutrals. I have also begun buying higher end brands on the Real Real consignment site. Better quality than new JCrew for the same prices. |
Agree with Boden |
This. I also do thredup (if I limit it to new with brands you an still get incredible deal for new designer clothing) and I also go to Secondi every month or so. You may like Veronica Beard, too, a bit more stylish. I get a lot of things from COS. |
Maybe 10 years ago. I gave up on them last year because the quality has plummeted. Nothing from them lasts at all. I second Marine Layer from above. |
I found some nice pieces this year at White House Black Market |
