A kid got kicked out from daycare

Anonymous
That's my kid's best friend, and I learn the fact after he got kicked out. I don't have the other kid's contact, and my kid misses him. I don't know what happens, but other parents tell me that he get kicked out. It is a daycare center that has preschool curriculum. What could be the reasons that a kid get kicked out?

Probably nonpayment.

Or behavior.

Don't believe everything you hear.

See if you can find the parent on social media, or if the school can help put you in touch, if that's what you're looking to do.

Maybe the school could pass your contact info on to the family.

My kid got kicked out for having a developmental delay.

He didn’t have behavior problems and certainly wasn’t violent. He just kind of zoned out and didn’t participate in the crafts and activities. Like if the class was cutting out shapes he would walk over to the cars. Things like that.

could be parent behavior, kid behavior, non-payment

No one gets kicked out for developmental delays, do not ever believe that

He bit or hit someone too many times, or they weren't paying.

They do. My cousin was. Nicely, of course. My son with autism was taken in hand by the preschool director, instead of being let go. She decided she liked him and was worth the effort. He benefited enormously.

Behavioral problems. Hitting, biting, if the school requires potty training, then potty training issues.
Nonpayment
Too many late payments
Late pick ups
Rude or aggressive parents

Teachers work really hard with children that have developmental delays. They won’t get kicked out for having developmental delays. However, if there are behavioral issues or aggressive issues that can’t be curbed that are impacting the classroom as a whole then that maybe a reason a daycare moves on from a student.

At what age did he get kicked out? My kid is 20 months with a slight developmental delay. Hes still not saying many words and doesn't seem to follow directions as well as other kids.

Oh yes they do, mine did, and it was HELL having to suddenly pay for a nanny.
