When did you return to prepregnacy weight?

Anonymous
With DC 1 I didn’t even try to lose the weight, I was so exhausted, had no help that I didn’t have time to eat and by 3-5 months in I looked exactly like I did before baby.

This time I have lots of help and am really well fed. Have lost 15 pounds in the first month but still 20 pounds heavier and looking huge. When will the weight fall off? Breastfeeding in both cases

15 months both times.

The first time I had an experience like yours, although it took about 7 months.

The second time I held onto the last 10 pounds.

The third time I started +10 and it looked like the same thing was going to happen again and possibly worse. Started WW at 5 months pp and lost it all (including the final 10 from my second) by 11 months pp.

My advice is not to get complacent because of your first experience. But at the same time all bodies are different and the timing is different for everyone. But to directly answer your question — no, the weight never fell off again like it did for my first.

Whoops! Reread more closely that you are just 1 month pp! Definitely don’t think about this for another couple of months.

Never. Even more tired with 2 kids and SN for one. Make a lot more money but work more hours. Wondering if ozempic is for me as being so tired I could care less if someone calms or cheating. Good luck.

After first kid…two weeks. It was crazy easy. After 4th…sadly never. Still 10 pounds more and it’s hard to even have that years later

I think everyone is different. I have 4 kids and have been back to my prepregnancy weight by 3-4 months PP each time

For me, it takes a long time because I can't lose weight while breastfeeding. With my 1st, it took 2 years, with my second 4 years but I was also in my 40s. I'm 5'7 and 125 lbs now, which is my normal weight. I'm 48 y/o. So give it time.

7 months with first, 10 or 11 with second.

There is no magic number. Age of when you have kids, physical activity, diet, genetics, etc plays a role. Work out and eat less is always key.

Well, I was underweight when I got pregnant, so never. I went down to 4-6 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight by two months post partum. But to be fair, I was in my 20's, I had worked out before getting pregnant and all throughout my pregnancy, and started going for walks the day I got home from the hospital (not to lose weight, just because we have a dog). I also never did the whole "I'm eating for two" thing - not while I was pregnant and not while I was nursing.

9 months to gain the weight and 9 months to lose.

I just had my 5th and plan to not stress about it. Nowadays there's always ozempic

Both times for me it took concerted effort over about 7-8 months. I started limiting carbs the day my children were born (!!) but waited about 6 weeks to actually start dieting.
