I just checked in, thinking I would take my kids to the Wilson pool today.
It is STILL CLOSED. What a travesty of mismanagement. What a symbol of how badly this mayor has run all city agencies. The mayor is responsible for the agencies that run the pools. And like every other city agency, the mayor has run DPR terribly. The first step to fixing DC’s problems is admitting we have a mayor who is a failed executive. |
On all fronts local government has given up. You’re on your own. |
There’s a new pool a short walk away in Hearst Park. Ward 3 people are such whiners with their First World problems. |
She’s busy solving global warming or climate change or global cooling or whatever in Dubai right now. And repainting streets with a hackneyed catch-phrase from 3 years ago.
She doesn’t have time to worry about silly things like pools. |
+1 It’s an embarrassment. I emailed her office and our anc rep about something pressing/dangerous. Never received even an acknowledgment of receiving either email. |
That one is outdoor ... Wilson is ... indoor. It's December. Jeez. |
Ward 3 needs to be more welcoming, accept sacrifice, and share the burden. |
Except for soaking us with endless taxes and traffic fines to fund the vagrant-industrial complex. "What's fair is fair!" |
Yes, Ward 3 residents should swim outside in December just like residents of every other ward. |
Except for residents of Wards 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 - all of which have DPR indoor pools available for their use. (https://dpr.dc.gov/page/indoor-pools) |
Hearst Pool is closed. It closed months ago. It won't open again until late June. |
Ward 3 people can use those pools also. |
What about Ward 2? |
Rumsey is constantly broken. DPR should be completely cleaned out. |
While in Dubai Bowser agreed to sell the Wilson pool to the Saudis for the water. |
