The Wilson pool is still closed: what a travesty, and it’s Muriel Bowser’s fault.

But Ward 3 residents can easily go to the Takoma pool while Wilson is still closed, just as we went to Wilson when Takoma was closed (for longer than expected). Not a huge deal.

Crime has gotten really bad around Takoma pool.

We go to the Takoma playground all the time and haven’t noticed crime getting really bad around there. But given that another poster wrote about human feces all around Wilson pool I’ll take my chances with Takoma.

LOL I live near Kennedy Street, so Takoma is on par with Tenleytown for me (i.e., a lot safer). And I frequent the Takoma rec center at various times of week/day with my kids and have not noticed anything. But if Ward 4 across the Park is too scary for Ward 3 people then...OK, lol.

Bowser has "equitably" caused plenty of DC crime to move over to Ward 3, particularly in Tenleytown and along Connecticut Avenue.

It's also a travesty that public is not provided info on use of public tax dollars regarding this pool.

Yes, the unhoused like to poop on the bench outside. It's a know thing in the neighborhood.

@Councilman Frumin, Ward 3 doesn't seem very "welcoming" when its only indoor swimming pool is closed for a year through the DC government's ineptitude. Please fix the Wilson pool soonest; we can wait a while for the pickle ball.

Why would it be open? No one is using it.

Because it’s been closed for months?

Anonymous wrote:So, when is the pool supposed to open? When they get a crane?

Correct. Until then, no one can swim. Spread the misery around equally.

What or who are you defending, PP? The race to the bottom continues.
