Yes a legacy of producing alumni such as Supreme Court Justices (note use of plural), Federal Reserve Chair, senator, congressmen, NFL team owner, GM of the Yankees, CEOs, NBA All-Star, NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Michelin Starred chef, Medal of Honor recipient, Pulitzer Prize winner, Emmy Award winner and pioneer in chemotherapy. By the way, another one of Prep’s students just committed to Yale—he’s African American, not white. Two years ago, Prep sent three graduates to West Point in a graduating class of 120 (last year Prep “only” sent two). It’s average SAT score is 1386—over 300 points above the national average. Such shame. |
A token black, good god Prep. |
I never heard of Georgetown Prep before moving here. Always heard the most elite schools in DC were Sidwell, NCS and STA. |
Pretty racist for you to say that. Prep demographics: 63% Caucasian, 11% African American, 16% Asian, 6% Latino. |
Plenty of children of prominent people graduated from Sidwell, but it has not produced much in the way of prominent alumni. I’m not certain about NCS. The only school in the DC area that rivals Prep with respect to alumni is Saint Albans. |
Wow, I invite you to reject obvious misogynist trash, and show us the Prep produces real heroes ... and you ignore that invitation to give me Prep’s resume. Shows what kind of values Prep promotes. Really disappointing. |
You’re right. Medal of Honor recipients, Pulitzer Prize winners, Olympic gold medalists and theinventor of modern chemotherapy are not heroes. Horrible. |
Go back to your women studies class loser! |
Hey disappointed! What have you done for your country? |
And yet Prep still is not known outside of DC. |
I have no issue with Prep but hasn’t it been around twice as long as the other schools? Isn’t it more than 200 years old? |
Wrong again—the WaPo or NBC could use a reporter like you. https://www.businessinsider.com/most-elite-boarding-schools-in-america-2016-2/#30-berkshire-school-21 |
1789. George Washington spoke at its first commencement (combined with Georgetown College—now University). |
It's so funny to watch Prep dig their own grave. They don't even see it. |
Trust me when I say that Prep will be here long after we are both gone. |
