Haven't been to McDonald's since December 2023

Decades? Can’t remember the last time.

I go once a year to get my Shamrock Shake and McNuggets with fries. But to be honest, this year it just didn't feel good. I usually enjoy the annual treat. However, it just was not the same.

Probably time to move on.

Y’all are missing out! The burgers are amazing and my littles love the nuggies

I'm pretty sure it was when my marching band stopped at one in the 90s, so around 25 years.

I go two or three times a year and get a cheeseburger and small fries from the value menu, no drink since I always have my own with me. I would prefer the fish sandwich but as someone mentioned it's too expensive now for what you get. I've heard Popeye's has a good fish sandwich, I might try that sometime in the next year or so although I'm quite sure that is overpriced too.

I go once every couple months. I'm otherwise a really healthy eater and I exercise daily. There is something about the combination of fat, salt, and sugar that is intoxicating to me. I'll have a stressful day and need some kind of pick me up, and I'll go get a Big Mac meal as a treat. It has to be all three items -- the Big Mac, the fries, the Coke. It sets all the pleasure receptors in my brain off at once.

But I also find it heavy and kind of gross. I have no desire to eat that way all the time. But I also don't really see anything wrong with having it once in a while. Also, surprisingly, the McDonalds near me has really good customer service. Like everyone who works there is very polite and pleasant and they never get my order wrong and there are never any weird delays either. So when I go, it's a good experience start to finish.

A long time as I’m vegetarian. Maybe 10 years? Only really went a few times for egg McMuffins in the ten years before that. My kids have never been (teens)

I’ve never gone frequently but I have no idea how people travel, move, or have kids and haven’t been to one on 20 years. Sometimes it’s all that’s open or all that’s available. Granted, I moved more than most but still.

I don’t know, maybe 10 years and before that it was also like 10 years.

There are a lot more options now. Plus we often pack lunch. Funny that when I was a kid we always had to pack a lunch on road trips because my parents refused to pay for McDonalds or other fast food options because it was expensive. I thought it was high living when I could afford to go to McDonalds. Now I'm rich and pack a lunch because I don't want fast food.

Child abuse. It's probably the first place they'll go when they break free, if they aren't already sneaking there with their friends.

Do people actually like McDonald’s/fast food, or is it just that it’s convenient?

We don't go on long car rides. We fly, and bring a bunch of snacks onto the plane. Dh and I are both foodies, so we're more likely to make a milkshake or fries at home. I don't understand your point about "how people ... move ..." Why would moving houses necessitate going to McDonalds?
