Haven't been to McDonald's since December 2023

Oh man I miss burning my tongue in those.

With that chewy flavorless ham? Or the greasy sausage?

I think Starbucks sausage egg McMuffin knockoff is 10x better. I just can't stand that fake orange cheese McDonald's uses. Adds nothing, just extra calories and saltier flavor, when no more salt is needed.

We love getting MCD breakfast on road trips. But the cost has more than doubled just in the last couple years.

On a road trip, maybe in 2020. I can’t remember.

You’re dissecting a McDonald’s sandwich? Most, myself included, know that McDonald’s is garbage. I do love an occasional Egg McMuffin.

I’m telling you the Starbucks copycat is miles better and just as easy to find on the road.

No but the OP sounds like they felt they were doing something significant by not going since Dec.

I know! I occasionally get drive-thru so I won't act like I'm too good for it, but a couple months without is nothing notable! Such a random thread.

Filthy mop water stench? Yes very pervasive in every location

All fast food places have that peculiar smell. A combination of deep frying and bleach?

It’s from frying the French fries in vegetable oil instead of beef tallow. The McDonald’s fries of my youth were so good. In 1990 they changed to vegetable oil and now the fries no longer are crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside. Vegetable oil at high temperatures is unstable and breaks down. It leaves a sticky film all over everything.
Bring back the beef tallow fries!!!

Just did a roadtrip and had first McDonald’s meal in at least a decade. Got the cheeseburger meal- two cheeseburgers, fries and soda. Burger was awesome in its own unique way- probably mostly nostalgia, but I enjoyed it. I will say, as bad as McDonald’s is for you, I felt much better after my McDonald’s meal than I would after a Five Guys meal. I love Five Guys, but can only do it once a year, at most.

Anyways I do not eat at McDonald’s, Wendy’s Burger King or Subway. I will however go to Burger King just for a Hershey pie or McDonalds just for ice cream but now we go to yogitopi which is one of the cheapest in terms of frozen yogurt. But food from McDonald’s?, decades ago.

I get that McDonalds’s isn’t great, but I wouldn’t put Chick-Fil-A on some pedestal of healthy fast food.

Isn’t the Starbucks version a frozen sandwich that’s thawed and then microwaved/reheated? At least McDonald’s gives you a real egg.

I go for diet cokes. They are the best.

I’m 40 and not since college for actual food. I would occasionally get ice cream cones when they were $1 and my children were young, but haven’t in several yrs. But…I do love their ice cream!

Yes, but it still tastes far better. And sorry but McDonald's employees are typically so gross, I can't eat food made by employees mopping greasy floors, coughing, dirty shirt, dirty appearance, going in and out of the building for mobile orders.
