 ear thirteen parents in and around the Glover Park neighborhood came t
 ogether to start up a summer co-operative at Macomb Recreation Center 
 (near the National Cathedral). The program was designed to offer affor
 dable and quality summer enrichment program for children who do not me
 et the age requirements of many summer camps in the District of Columb
 ia. It was partially subsidized by DC's Department of Parks and Recrea
 tion. The summer program was a great success.\n\nBut at the same time\
 , we also know that we had to turn away several families because deman
 d exceeded space. This year\, we want to ensure that more families can
  join the summer co-op. We will open three locations this summer to me
 et this demand. Macomb\, Hamilton\, and Hardy Rec Centers are slated t
