  Area will hold the DC Step Out Walk & Tour de Cure at the Washington 
 Monument to raise funds for diabetes research in the DC region. Across
  the National Capital Area\, the ADA has helped more than 200,000 indi
 viduals and families living with diabetes. Through research\, educatio
 n and advocacy\, the ADA is working to prevent and ultimately cure thi
 s disease. Over 3,000 people are expected to attend this year’s even
 t.
