DESCRIPTION:Stop by for breakfast with the Mounted Police at the Washi
 ngton International Horse Show to meet the officers and their mounts! 
 The breakfast will take place at Hotel Monaco\, which is located on th
 e site of the first post office in Washington\, DC. This 19th-century 
 post office used to load and unload horses on a buggy around the back 
 of the building where the restaurant\, Poste Modern Brasserie\, is now
  located.  A “Human Buffet” of chilled juices\, assorted pastries\
 , breakfast burritos\, coffee and tea\, will be provided by the Hotel 
 Monaco. A “Horse Buffet” of carrots and apples will be provided by
  the Washington International Horse Show. In the afternoon\, guests ca
 n watch professional and amateur hunter riders will finish their divis
 ions with a stake class\, offering a larger purse\, as well as the fir
 st show jumping class\, the WIHS Children’s Jumper Championship\, wh
 ere riders under 18 compete to win a share of $10,000. This event is f
 ree and open to the public.
