Enjoy family friendly fun with Jane Franklin Dance at Arlington Public Libraries this summer. Each performance is a delightful blend of movement, theater, music and participation. Mouse in House, adapted from the book by Elizabeth Spires, is about a mouse who forms a friendship with reclusive 19th-century poet Emily Dickinson. The mouse’s life changes forever when a gust of wind blows one of Emily’s poems her way. Moved by Emily’s evocative words that capture her own feelings, the mouse becomes determined to be a poet herself.

Easter Happenings at the B&O

For the first time ever, on Saturday, April 20, the B&O Railroad Museum is having an Easter Egg Hunt for kids before its doors open to the public. Two pre-registration sessions are offered: one for children up to 5 years old, and the second for 6 to 10-year olds. Each hidden Easter egg will be filled with prizes and candy, and whoever finds the golden egg will win four tickets to Day Out With Thomas at the B&O, April 26-28 & May 3-5. Following the egg hunt children and their families will hop on board the B&O’s Mile One Express for a round trip train ride with the Easter Bunny. Later that morning when the B&O opens to the public at 10am, Museum visitors may hop on board the Mile One Express and take a train ride with the Easter Bunny that departs promptly at 11:30am and 2pm. While on board each child will personally receive a prize filled Easter Egg from the Easter Bunny.
