Learn about our native birds of prey and the amazing adaptations they use to hunt, meet the raptors we care for at the park, and watch our naturalist feed a live bird of prey! • $7 per participant for ages 8 and up. Night Hike and Campfire – Nocturnal Wildlife

Spring Egg Hunt (March 23rd-24th)

Spring is here, and the egg hunt is back at Potomac Overlook! Join us any day from March 23rd-24th, and March 26th – 31st anytime between 11am and 4pm to take part in this ongoing event. Pick up your egg hunt sheet at the nature center, explore the park on a scavenger hunt, and then return to the nature center with your completed sheet for a prize! Hop on over and experience a new kind of egg hunt for you and your family! • $8 per participating child, paid the day of at the nature center. • Hunt is for children of all ages. • No reservations required.
Talkin' Bout Turtles

Come out of your shell and join us for a turtley awesome program! Meet some of our resident turtles and learn about their adaptations, habitat, and what sets them apart from each other. Then help us “race” our turtles with some live food to see who is the fastest (or rather the least slow!) • $7 per participant for ages 5 and up. Any attendee over 5 (to include adults) is considered a participant. • Children must be accompanied by an adult. • Class may have indoor components. • Meet at the nature center. • ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST PREREGISTER.
