Join us for our fourth annual Costumes for Kids Fall Volunteer Festival, the perfect opportunity for children and their families to volunteer together. We’ll prepare 125 storybook character costumes for children in low-resource communities and pair each costume with a book and tote bag. Tickets include: Costume-making stations Face painting Games Crafts Music and more! Snacks, drinks, and raffle tickets will be for sale. Fall Volunteer Camp

Fairfax County Public Schools are closed Oct. 3-4, making this the perfect opportunity for kids ages 6-12 to volunteer in our community. Fall Volunteer Camp, hosted by the nonprofit organization Kids Give Back, includes service projects, guest speakers, a pizza lunch on Friday, games, and more. This is the ideal way to introduce young children to volunteering. Kids Give Back, founded in 2019, hosts camps and family volunteer days throughout the year. Volunteer service projects may include: Packing snack packs for the food-insecure Making art kits for children in the hospital Making toys and blankets for animal shelters Fees: $110/one child, $200/two siblings, $310/three siblings This camp is limited to 24 children, so register today!

On Saturday, August 24, from noon – 4 p.m., Kentlands School of Music will be hosting a grand opening with free lessons, free Ledo pizza, live music, retail discounts and more.
