It’s time to get your paws on some pawpaws! Meadowside Nature Center will celebrate this delightful native fruit with music, crafts, games, expert advice on pawpaw cultivation, and most importantly a pawpaw tasting station. We’ll have pawpaw fruit and trees for purchase. But most importantly, what's a pawpaw? This native fruit has a tropical, electric taste. Its exterior flesh is green and very unassuming, but the insides are pale yellow, with dark brown seeds in the center.

Looking for a creative activity to get and do with the kids while staying cool this month? Stop by the Kentlands Mansion from August 14-17 between 9am and 3pm to help create a one-of-a-kind art project. This free project is for 2-12 year olds and their parents. Outline and paint your hands to help create the City’s tree logo and paint a picture or message on rocks to place around Gaithersburg using the #GaithersburgRocks hashtag.
