Free educational luncheon in D.C. on the role of the role of the birthing community in improving U.S. maternity care. The event will include a screening of a documentary funded by the Tatia Oden French Memorial Foundation that highlights the importance of women being fully informed of treatment options during childbirth, including the risks, benefits and alternatives of each, before providing consent. The two organizations will bring some of Fitzgerald’s greatest hits to the DC community with free outdoor performances in iconic Meridian Hill Park.

Dads, Moms and Caregivers are all welcome. Babies 4 weeks to pre-crawling. Baby and Me Yoga is a great way to bond with your little one while practicing yoga together. Our class will focus on bringing balance and strength to the body by exploring physical shapes, relaxation techniques and breathing exercises. Parents/caregivers will learn hands-on yoga stretches for baby along with songs, games, and infant massage tips. The class environment is open and welcome to babies being babies- sleeping, eating, playing, even crying is okay!

Each session will feature 3 consecutive 30-minute "pop up" classrooms to give prospective students a taste of what it's like to learn at The Sycamore School. Parents can either observe student activities or talk to staff about the curriculum.

On Train Day, come and experience the Railway Post Office by checking out the inside of the train car, learn how train conductors use whistle signals to communicate, and get to know some jargon used by Postal Clerks who worked on the Railway Post Offices. Enjoy a special Story Time and “meet” Owney the Dog, mascot of the Railway Post Office! We will also have model trains running through our Museum Atrium. Free admission; all ages welcome.
