DC Step Out Walk & Tour de Cure for Diabetes Research at the Washington Monument on Saturday September 23rd

On Saturday September 23, 2017, the ADA National Capital Area will hold the DC Step Out Walk & Tour de Cure at the Washington Monument to raise funds for diabetes research in the DC region. Across the National Capital Area, the ADA has helped more than 200,000 individuals and families living with diabetes. Through research, education and advocacy, the ADA is working to prevent and ultimately cure this disease. Over 3,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event.
Mama & Baby Yoga

About the workshop: In this workshop Mamas will walk away with breathing techniques, yoga poses, massage techniques, songs and games they can incorporate in to their daily connections with their little one. This class will have a focus on developmentally appropriate activities for babies, but moms will also have the opportunity to practice self-care, while building strength and knowledge about their body and their babies development in a fun and nurturing environment. Partner Yoga Workshop

Partner yoga brings people together through movement, play, breath and touch. It can be practiced by any two people and is a great way to foster trust, connection, communication and community. This class will incorporate breathing techniques, inversions, therapeutic partner massage, acro and yoga poses to increase strength and balance of mind and body. You will feel lifted and supported in this nurturing and loving space. Come alone or with a partner. All levels and abilities welcome.
