Even though I don’t pay top rate, and have cameras, I’ve had two excellent long-term nannies (had to switch due to a move) because I treat them like human beings and valued employers.

Yes, it was rude to text said nanny immediately afterward.
This employer was abusing his right to film in his own home.

Because a nanny chewing food, then handing it to a baby is on a much smaller scale than shaking a crying, screaming child.

If you waited until end of shift, nanny would continue during the day. DB (rightly) wanted it stopped immediately.

~ nanny who would never consider doing that

Bottom line: If you do not want your child being finger fed food, do not leave them w/a nanny.

Easy peasy.

Sigh. Nannies wash their hands, limiting germs, as long as they don’t put the food in their mouth first. You can’t control whether another mom washed her breast before pumping, nor can you control what she invested; breast milk has numerous properties that make bacteria growth less likely.

Nannies don’t put food from their mouth to the child’s mouth. We know better.
