I have been invited to my charges birthday patties, I just attended one ,when they (twins) where one year old .I didn't go to their second and 3 birthday party . I was invited. And I worked for that family four years. There is not law that said you has to go to your charges birthday party allways. I get them a present on Monday when I went to work take care of them. I don't know what the family thought about that. I just didn't feel like I wanted to be with the family and their friends.I didn't know their friends and I didn't have anything to talk about with them.

I celebrate everything with my charge. I've celebrated with him when he used the potty for the first time. When he learned to pump on the swing. When he wrote his first word. When he spoke his first word.
We celebrate with your child everyday. Why wouldn't we want to celebrate with him at his birthday party?
