Yeah so is pollution and drunk driving and the enormous class divide, but we try to fix those problems too, just as we should try to fix unfair or even cripplingly bad employment offers.
I agree with pp that PTO for a part-time worker is not the norm and should not be expected. To say otherwise is doing a disservice to those new to the job market.
